Megan Calfas
director, producer

Megan is a writer based in San Francisco. She is on staff with the Stanford Storytelling Project and has coached over 200 people on telling their true, personal stories live on stage. She is a playwright and journalist, often working across mediums on pieces that explore girlhood and identity formation. Her play Sleepover debuted at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As a journalist, she has reported on the environment for the Los Angeles Times and investigated maternal mortality in Zanzibar. She also directed a sold-out debut of the original monologue show Crushing in New York City in 2023. She’s delighted to now bring the show home to SF.

Carly Steyer
director, producer

Carly is a writer/director who mostly works in the narrative film space. A graduate of Stanford University’s Film and Media department, she previously worked as the junior development exec to director Ruben Fleischer and producing partners Dave Bernad and Elias Gertler (behind titles such as The White Lotus, Jury Duty, Uncharted, and more). Her most recent film, Voice Toy, starring Nadina Hassan, is currently circuiting festivals. Her previous work has premiered at NewFilmmakers LA, the Indie Short Awards, and has been featured on Shortverse.com. Carly’s brand work includes a series of personal narrative-driven political ads for a national nonpartisan group where were viewed more than 100 million times across swing states. in 2024 An SF native, she’s excited to return home to direct her third monologue show.

Natachi Onwuamaegbu
co-producer

Natachi is a journalist, novelist, and founder. Her journalistic credits span The Washington Post, Al Jazeera, Cosmopolitan, The Boston Globe, The Seattle Times, 5280 Magazine, and more. She is on the third draft of her novel, How to Fall in Sane. She was a featured writer in the 2023 debut of Crushing in New York City. She is also the founder of The Ndeza Collective, a Nairobi-based multimedia storytelling group focused on empowering female African business owners. Natachi graduated with honors from Stanford, and was a 2022-2023 Fulbright Scholar and a National Geographic Storytelling Fellow. She is now based in Nairobi.
